I’ve been absent from blogland for FAR too long. I just can never seem to find the time!
But today, while littlest Duder is napping, and oldest Duder is playing basement hockey with his Daddy, I made some time to introduce you to the newest member of our (holiday) family: “Rudy” Ruettiger. Our Elf on the Shelf.
For YEARS I’ve been looking for this elf.
I found him a few months ago, and ever since, I have been impatiently awaiting his arrival in our home.
On November 30th, the doorbell rang.
Deklan ran to the front door to see who it was, but there was no one in sight.
There was, however, a box on the step.
Dek was just beside himself with excitement to see our family’s very own elf!!!
I’ve been photographing Ruettiger’s antics every night, for posterity of course, and now I’m making time to share :)
Here’s what Rudy was up to from November 30th-December 4th.
November 30th: Rudy arrived in his box
Morning 1: Sitting on top of the fridge, ready and waiting to watch Daddy make his morning coffee. Must’ve been a long flight because he stopped at Starbucks for a hot drink on his way home to us.
Morning 2: Looks like Rudy wants a hippo for Christmas!
Morning 3: Ruettiger was found cleaning the basement ice on the Oilers zamboni
Morning 4: Awww… such a sucker for affection. Getting cheek smooches from the kissing angels.
Tomorrow I’ll post the next 5 days :)
