July 1, 2011
The day arrived, sunny & warm. You’d have almost thought it was Summer ;)
Sure, there was some stumbling along the way, but isn’t that what makes it all the more special?
Angela & Oliver got married on Canada Day.
Canada Day is special, because Oliver is from Germany, but he loves it here. Canada is where he met Angela, and this is where they made their family and their home.
I met Oliver back in high school. A loooong time ago. For a while there, he didn’t believe that I had photo evidence (seriously, why would he doubt me!?), and while I won’t post it here, if you’re Facebook saavy, I’m sure you’ll be able to find it (Ahem. It’s #4).
I met Angela through Oliver, and I still remember the day they announced Noah’s impending arrival to a close group of friends at our old hangout – Red Robin’s. A few years later a card arrived in the mail, sharing their excitement at a future addition – Miss Clara.
Fast forward to today.
Today, they’re moving their family from here on the Island, to the mainland, to be closer to Angela’s family.
They’ll be greatly missed, but we all have to do what’s best for our family.
And rewind a few weeks… late one evening, just days before their big day, I got a text message, asking if I was available to take photos at their wedding reception. Seeing as how Mister & I were already attending as a guests, I was more than happy to bring my camera along too.
Here are some of my favorites from their day.
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lesum!!
