The first time I heard about Nelson, Nevada, was probably 2009. I follow a lot of photography blogs, and in February they were all abuzz about WPPI. One of the shoots at the conference, took place in the ghost town of Nelson, Nevada. Ever since then, I’ve been intrigued and have wanted to go see the place for myself.
When I mentioned it to the friends who we were travelling with this year, they seemed interested too, so we rented a car and drove on out into the desert.
It was about an hours’ drive from our hotel on the strip. We really did feel like we were out in the middle of nowhere.
We arrived in this tiny little place, and I think it’s safe to say that I was in awe.
I took far too many photos for one post, so I’ll break it up a little bit and spread them out over the next week or so.
The images I chose for today’s post give you a general overview of what we saw.
